The robotics team is intended to be a practical approach for mentoring high school students in developing and incorporating processes needed for successful project development. The conceptual tool-sets that are implemented:

Student Candidates for the team:
Grades 10-12
Nominated by the School’s Science/Engineering Coordinator
To join the team is FREE.
The students/parents will have to cover all their own travel arrangements.
Students will have to get a signed Activity Release Form completed for the Internship participation.
Students are given a Safety Briefing during the first engineering session.
We start preparing for the Robotics Season (June - Aug). The focus is on STEM Competency via robotics competitions. UCF-Incubator will be facilitating the meeting and build space for our team. The Robotics competition season starts the 1st week of September each school year and runs to April.

We will have both new incoming students and some returning students this season. Our ultimate goal with the students is to develop a high caliber competitive robot that is efficient.

We have a lot of lessons learned from last year, that we will develop upon. This summer we plan on expanding our internship curriculum to add further detail work in microcontrollers and robotics.
